GEAR REPAIR FIRST-AID KIT

Repair isn't always optional and can often be essential. This handy travel size repair kit will enable to make a fix on the go whatever your adventure. Use Storm Tear-Aid on:

  • WATERPROOF JACKETS
  • GORE-TEX, PERTEX & SYMPATEX OUTER LAYERS OR EQUIVELENT
  • TENTS
  • BACKPACKS

If you have any questions about applying Storm Tear-Aid to your garment or gear, please get in touch.

  • STEP 1

    Clean surface with the supplied wipe.

  • STEP 1

    Cut Tear-Aid patch to size, allowing for 25mm around the edge of the tear. Use type B for vinyl coated materials, use type A for all other solutions.

  • STEP 2

    Slowly peel back the paper as you apply the patch over the tear, take care to avoid air bubbles & creases.

  • STEP 3

    Rub all edges to seal and rub over the full patch.

  • STEP 4

    If access is available on the reverse side of the tear, follow the same process and apply on the reverse side to strengthen the repair.

Yes, continue to care for your gear in the same way that we recommend using storm care cleaners & if necessary proofers.

Will Tear-Aid change colour through wear?

No, Storm Tear-Aid won't discolor over time.

Will Tear-Aid withstand hot & cold temperatures?

Functions in temperature ranges of -30 to 60 degrees C after application
